Mission Schools is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit created to provide needs-based funding for families seeking a quality education for their children and to help diversify the student population in our Mission Schools network. Our mission is to broaden the educational options available to students and school communities in the Mission Schools network by providing educational programs, scholarships, and support. The schools in our network offer alternative educational approaches, including schools following or inspired by the Montessori method.
We believe that children benefit from having more options when it comes to education and we want to open up these options to more families for whom financial need is a barrier to a quality education.
Mission Schools supports an educational approach that helps students become intellectually independent while also nurturing children’s natural curiosity and love of learning. The schools in the Mission Schools network include:
Mission Montessori in San Francisco, CA
Studio Montessori in San Francisco, CA
Vine Academy in Burr Ridge, IL
Spark Montessori in Chicago, IL
In addition to offering scholarships to families and funding educational programs at schools in our network, Mission Schools works with entrepreneurial educators starting their own innovative schools across the United States. Mission Schools advises school founders to help them launch successful new schools. Mission Schools’ goal is for more innovative schools to be formed across the country and for more children to benefit from them.
